We prioritize the visitor experience by answering a variety of the most frequently asked questions
Visiting hours
We understand how important it is for our patients to have loved ones visiting them while receiving medical care. Regular visiting hours are Monday through Sunday, 7:00am to 9:00pm.
All visitors must be 16 years or older.
Visitors should not visit if they are sick or have had cold-like symptoms within the past 7 days.
After-hours access (after 9:00pm) is available through the Emergency Department.
Visitors staying past 9:00pm must obtain a visitor pass at the Emergency Room Security Desk.
Each patient is allowed one overnight visitor. In semi-private rooms, overnight visitors must be the same sex as the patient.
Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for exceptions, including religious visitation and a designated support person for a patient with a disability. All visitors remain subject to infection control protocols. Visitation may be restricted based on patient condition.
Designated support person
Patients may identify one or two designated support persons who will receive medical updates and communicate information to family and friends. Support persons do not need to be legal decision-makers unless representation is disputed. Each patient is assigned a PIN to protect privacy.
Our hospital's visitor information
All visitors must be 16 years or older unless noted otherwise.
Two visitors per patient are allowed between 7:00am and 9:00pm.
Only two visitors may be at the bedside at a time.
Visitors staying after 9:00pm must obtain a visitor pass.
One family member will be offered to remain with patients receiving emergency resuscitation.
Specialty Unit Visitation
Burn Intensive Care Unit (BICU)
Two adult visitors permitted during:
12:00pm–1:00pm
4:00pm–5:00pm
8:00pm–9:00pm
No fruit, flowers, or plants allowed. PPE required.
Emergency Room (ER)
One visitor or support person allowed.
Visitation permitted 24/7.
Visitors must follow inpatient guidelines if patient is admitted.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU
One visitor allowed from 9:00am–9:00pm.
One overnight visitor permitted.
Pediatrics & PICU
Two visitors from 7:00am–9:00pm.
One visitor from 9:00pm–7:00am.
Up to four visitors may be approved.
Legal guardian encouraged to remain at all times.
Two legal guardians will receive ID bands.
Visitors must sign in/out and wear a visitor band.
No visitors with cold-like symptoms in the past 7 days.
Outpatient Procedural Areas
Two visitors may accompany patient.
One visitor may enter procedure area.
Surgical Services
Two visitors may accompany patient.
One visitor may remain in pre-op (pediatric exceptions apply).
Rehab Unit
Follows general visitation guidelines.
Visitation varies based on therapy schedule and family training.
Wound Clinic
All visitors must be adults.
One visitor allowed (two for pediatric patients).
No visitors during hyperbaric treatments.
Women’s Center
Visitors must sign in and wear a badge.
Two support people may stay overnight.
No visitors under 18 during labor, except siblings under 13 after delivery with supervision.
Waiting rooms available for extended family.
Visitors may be restricted during flu season or pandemic conditions.
NICU
Only banded visitors allowed.
Two visitors at a time.
Visitation may be restricted due to DFACS or law enforcement involvement.
