Prenatal testing
During pregnancy, prenatal testing provides your doctor with vital information about your and your baby's health. Prenatal tests can detect potential problems that may affect your child, such as congenital abnormalities or genetic conditions. Our perinatologists use results from these tests to form a care plan for before and after your baby is born.
Some form of prenatal testing, such as regular ultrasounds, is common to help track your baby's growth. However, you may need additional tests to check for additional problems that may be present due to personal risk factors. Our prenatal testing services include:
- Advanced ultrasound services
- Amniocentesis (a test used to assess your baby's health)
- Chorionic villus sampling
- Genetic testing
- Serial testing (tests repeated throughout pregnancy)
Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
Our hospital is home to the Clyde A. Burgamy Center for Women, which includes a Level II NICU. This specialized unit is for newborns who were born prematurely or require additional medical care following birth.

If your child requires medical care beyond your discharge, we have a solution for you. Parents and family members can stay in one of our border rooms in our women's center, depending on availability, free of charge. Our hospital has also teamed up with local hotels to provide discounts for you if you are traveling outside of the area for medical care.
